Human Resources UK is a LinkedIn group specifically for those involved in the HR industry in the UK and is
managed by Ed Scrivener. The group boasts over 5,000 members ranging from entry level HR to HR Directors and HR Consultants to
HR suppliers.
The group consists of an active discussion page, driven by the members. The discussions
range from asking for advice to comments on the latest legislative changes. Equally, we have an active jobs page
too, where organisations and agencies alike can post free adverts. Finally, we have a promotions page where you can
find the latest offers from the group members. We regularly organise free HR networking events throughout
the UK and you can find further information here or by using the #hrukli Twitter tag. Membership is by request or invitation only and all applications are closely screened to ensure
we retain the focus of the group.
Discuss HR
In January
2011 a new blog was created to produce a weekly article about the world of HR. Ed appointed a panel of HR experts from
a range of different backgrounds including generalists, leadership coaches and employment lawyers. The weekly article,
known as Discuss HR, is published every Thursday and whilst the content varies, it always includes practical, real-life
examples that are interesting, thought provoking, or at times simply humorous! It's certainly worth a read.
